At KanView Glass, we focus on repairing and replacing wood sashes in specific types of windows. Please note that we do not offer residential total window replacements or repair single-hung sashes. Our expertise and availability include the following:
1. Pella Wood Casement Sashes and Wood Double Hung Sashes: We can only get sashes for up to 20 years old for Pella windows.
2. Caradco Wood Casement Sashes
3. Pozzi/Jeld-Wen Wood Casement Sashes
4. Norco Wood Casement Sashes
It is important to note that other than Pella, most of these brands and/or models are no longer available, and what we provide are considered replica models.
At KanView Glass, we charge an inspection fee to evaluate the sashes thoroughly, ensuring we provide the best service possible. Determining if your windows are ones we can work on without inspecting them ourselves is challenging. Additionally, several details must be examined to determine if the repair or replacement is feasible, and pictures alone very rarely suffice.
Our inspection rate is $25 per window sash, with a minimum charge of $99. Additional fees may apply for inspections out of our service area. Before we schedule an inspection, the customer must approve the estimate for this inspection, and payment must be made. KanView Glass will only inspect the total number of windows listed in the estimate; additional windows cannot be added at the time of service. The inspection charge is due regardless of the outcome, meaning that if we determine that we cannot assist, the inspection fee will not be refunded as it covers the cost of the inspection itself. If KanView provides the work necessary after the inspection, the inspection charge will apply to the job itself.
Please expect the total cost to be around $1000 installed per sash, although this can vary depending on the sash brand and type. This includes wood stain or paint matching other windows as necessary.
Customers can look for brand names listed on the operator cover for initial identification. The spacer between the glass may also have brand names or model numbers printed, such as a CAR or CC stamp #916, which can help identify the sashes.
